Here’s a local tattoo story:
An elderly woman walked into a tattoo shop downtown one day, and politely asked if there was time to do a small rose on her arm. After signing the necessary paperwork, she was greeted by a much-tattooed artist who took her to one of the chairs and prepared her arm.
After having a brief conversation, and prior to starting, he sat up straight and said, “I have to ask. Why a rose, and why now?”
The elderly woman briefly smiled with her eyes closed. When she opened them, she looked him in the eye and said, “Because I want something beautiful, and something I chose myself.”
She then removed the other sleeve of her sweater, showing him the numbers tattooed on her forearm. She was a Holocaust survivor.

I saw this post among the slew of comments on this Planned Parenthood post regarding the decision on the after 20-week abortions ban in Arizona.
It was nice to see a conservative man standing up to the anti-choice bullies on the page.
The horrors we inflict on pregnant people by forcing them to keep nonviable pregnancies are just… I mean, I can’t even imagine. This is what late-term abortion bans do. I wouldn’t wish that woman’s experience on anyone, and good on her and her father-in-law for being willing to publicly stand up for choice now.
